The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a free, 24-hour crisis intervention hotline available to military members and department of the Army civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. when dialing the toll free number, it is preceded by (94) (94-800-273-talk (8255). When dialing from other OCONUS locations, the toll free number is preceded by the appropriate dsn access code (i.e., "94", "88", "8"); no requirement exists to dial "1" prior to dialing the dsn access code.
