Explain to me...

How we intend to maintain the safety of our astronauts and the hundreds of billions invested in space stations and satellites, when our only route to space is in a rocket designed by the russians in the 60's. because when I go looking for technical achievement, safety, and reliablity I always think Moscow.

I am all about the privatization of space... But we should be pumping as much money as we can into American companies, instead of say, Solyndra.
