Why is this "odd"?

Why is this unusual?

Could it be that our society has come to distrust its gummint and law enforcement so much that when one man does NOT hold himself above the laws he enforces, it makes the news.

I doubt that it is really the case that LEOs hold themselves bove the law, but I readily admit that few (if any) would take their integrity to the level displayed by this one.

He should'nt be on traffic duty, he should be attorney general.
