Been reading through LT G's stuff at http://kaboomwarjournal.blogspot.com/ wish I could write like he does. I really wish I could've put less "me" into my Iraq writing, and more "we" like he does. Alas, we had different roles, while my job kept me in the wire more than I liked, and I had to (usually) piggy-back onto a patrol, his job is outside the wire, every day.
He writes exceptionally well--the humor, descriptions of soldier-speak and iraqi-speak are all spot on, without the "colorful" language I often used.
His frustration tends to bleed through sometimes, but he isn't doing therapy-blogging like I was, he is a great story teller.
Very well worth the read. I'll ask the code monkey to blogroll him ASAP.
